Q2 Live Concerts: “Credo” Live with John Schaefer and Nadia Sirota

The sub head at Q2 Live Concerts is
“An Eclectic, All-Star Cast Featuring Members of Sigur Rós with hosts John Schaefer and Nadia Sirota

And, Q2 tells us,

On Monday, November 15 at 7:30 pm EST, Q2 brings Icelandic art-rock together with a wild constellation of top-notch, international ensembles in a live audio Webcast of Credo, hosted by WNYC’s John Schaefer from the Church of St. Paul the Apostle.

Part of Lincoln Center’s kaleidoscopic White Light Festival, Credo features mesmerizing, lesser-known music by Sigur Rós’s Jón Þor “Jónsi” Birgisson and Kjartan Sveinsson as performed by members of the band themselves, Birgisson’s partner Alex Somers, the Hilliard Ensemble, Latvian National Choir and the Wordless Music Orchestra led by Jeffrey Milarsky.

During the concert, Q2’s Nadia Sirota will be moderating a live, public Webchat with Webcast host John Schaefer from the Church itself. Q2 invites you to log in on this page and contribute your thoughts and insights with our hosts and your fellow New Music fans from New York City to Reykjavik and
beyond!

Formed in 1994, Sigur Rós (translated as Victory Rose) achieved international recognition through the release of four albums which, though capturing the serene, majestic expanses of their native Iceland, point somewhere refreshingly new as well. Credo offers the chance to isolate distinct voices from the band with a choral set by keyboardist and composer Kjartan Sveinsson and arrangements from Riceboy Sleeps, a project by Sigur Rós vocalist Jónsi Birgisson and partner Alex Somers.

Be there, Aloha.
