Thumbscrew [Michael Formanek / Tomas Fujiwara / Mary Halvorson]:

Ours and Theirs

As you know, Cuneiform Records ceased releasing new material and laid off its staff on December 31, 2017. The Thumbscrew trio subsequently encouraged label owner Steven Feigenbaum to resume operation; see Steve’s Message to Friends of Cuneiform Records: Two Toes Back in the Water

Steve agreed to release two new recordings by Thumbscrew: Ours, an album of original Thumbscrew compositions, and Theirs, featuring Thumbscrew performing works by others. Released and distributed worldwide by Cuneiform June ?? 2018, Ours and Theirs are available in CD and digital (standard & HD) formats. They are the first releases of newly recorded material to come out on Cuneiform in physical and digital formats since the label’s re-emergence.
